General Director – Mechanical/Electrical Automation

A company headquartered in Europe is continuously expanding into Asian countries and are now planning market entries into Indonesia and Malaysia. Spearheading a broader recruitment process is the search for a General Manager for each country that will have to plan and execute a market development strategy. 

The ideal candidate will match to the following criteria: Responsibilities: 

• Establish a Subsidiary Company and build a team and implement best practise systems.
• Develop and implement Company’s strategies and business plans.
• Monitor and manage end-to-end operations of various functional departments including sales, order management, engineering, supply chain and other support function.
• Study and understand market trends, customer needs in order to lead the team towards new product development.
• Responsible for being the most senior contact point for all customer contacts to build solid customer relationship and rapport to ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained at all times through excellent practice and service.
• Accountable for developing new businesses and growing the YOY revenue and profitability of the Subsidiary Company.
• Responsible for Company’s Financial affairs and reporting.
• Any other duties as assigned by the regional management and headquarters from time to time as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in an Engineering related field.
• Required language(s): English plus Bahasa Indonesia/Malay – Mandarin is an additional plus
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design / Product Design & Development.
• Candidate with mechanical/electrical background from automation / test equipment is preferred.
• Experience in leading a team of managers or department heads.
